The House is seeking an exceptional Lead Hostess to join our team presented by The Park. Â
The House is a 150-seat, culinary-driven, locally inspired restaurant showcasing lush views of the newly renovated public golf course. The atmosphere boasts a clean, modern design with a menu featuring fresh coastal American cuisine. It will be paired with refreshing cocktails, an approachable wine list, and a selection of local beers from throughout Florida.

Key Responsibilities:Â
- Take reservations and plot seating arrangements using OpenTable.
- Greet guests upon arrival with a genuine smile.
- Escort guests to their table and engage conversation while walking with guests, not ahead of them.
- Prepare and maintain the greeting area with special attention to detail and sanitation.
- Place takeout orders in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Complete payment transactions for takeout orders. Â Â
- Monitor in-shift cuts, hours, overtime, tardiness, absenteeism, and shift breaks daily.
- Assist team members with resetting the restaurant to maintain the ideal atmosphere. Â
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to ensure that all staff are alerted of important details.Â
- Communicate with servers in-shift to ensure smooth transition of tables and even distribution of guests throughout the restaurant.
- Make host schedule.
- Monitor in-shift host side work and ensure daily duties are being completed.Â
- Manage OpenTable, including maintaining all notes within OpenTable.
- Ensure accurate counts of menus.Â
- Manage event menus at the host stand and ensure they are prepared for events correctly.
- Observe and identify performance issues.Â
- Maintain and edit training website material.
- Complete performance reviews. Â
- Ensure the Host department is staffed and conduct interviews, as needed.
 Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 1-year of experience hosting in a high-volume hospitality establishment is preferredÂ
- Highly enthusiastic and welcoming personality
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to recognize multiple VIP and regular guests by name and their dining preferences
- Works well with a teamÂ
- Ability to stand & work on their feet for long periods of time
- Ability to safely lift 25 lbs
- High-level of organizational and time management skills
