About Look Up AcademyÂ
Look Up Academy is a therapeutic microschool serving children 3-5 years of age in a small classroom environment. Our program combines high-quality education with embedded therapeutic supports in partnership with Look Up Therapy. Students may receive ABA, speech, and occupational therapy throughout the school day while participating in a hands-on, multisensory learning environment.Â

Position SummaryÂ
The Look Up Academy Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction while collaborating closely with ABA, speech, and occupational therapy professionals to support each child's academic, developmental, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional growth.Â

This position requires creativity, flexibility, strong classroom management, excellent communication skills, and experience differentiating instruction to support children with a wide range of developmental and learning needs.Â

ResponsibilitiesÂ
Instruction & CurriculumÂ
- Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards and Florida B.E.S.T. Standards.Â
- Differentiate instruction to meet each child's developmental, communication, and learning needs.Â
- Implement evidence-based curricula and thematic instruction.Â
- Develop meaningful learning activities that promote school readiness, including early literacy, language development, mathematics, science, social studies, social-emotional development, executive functioning, communication, independence, and adaptive skills.Â
- Create instructional materials, visual supports, classroom displays, and learning centers.Â
- Incorporate sensory, play-based, and project-based learning opportunities throughout the school day.Â
- Engineer frequent opportunities for communication, play, peer interaction, and independent problem-solving.Â

CollaborationÂ
- Collaborate closely with ABA professionals, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to support student success.Â
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and caregivers regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school readiness.Â

Assessment & PlanningÂ
- Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals and student needs.Â
- Collect student data and monitor academic, developmental, and behavioral progress.Â
- Maintain accurate documentation and use progress monitoring data to guide instructional decisions.Â
Â
Physical RequirementsÂ
- Ability to actively engage with children throughout the school day in classroom and therapy settings.Â
- Ability to frequently sit on the floor, kneel, bend, squat, reach, and transition quickly between activities.Â
- Ability to safely respond to children's physical, behavioral, and safety needs, including assisting with mobility, transitions, and emergency situations.Â
- Ability to move and set up classroom furniture, learning materials, and equipment as needed.Â
