Job DetailsJob Location: FLA-Palm Beach County Area Command - West Palm Beach, FL 33409Position Type: Full Time RegularEducation Level: Bachelor's DegreeSalary Range: $26.12 HourlyTravel Percentage: MinimalJob Shift: DayJob Category: Social ServicesSchedule/Hours:  10am - 6pm (35 hours per week)Hourly rate:  $26.12 p/h  This position is responsible for:   Plans, organizes, supervises, and evaluates comprehensive supplemental education programs for participants of The Salvation Army Lake Worth Corps. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the After School Tutorial Program, Summer Day Camp, Annual College Tour, Music Program, and other educational and youth development initiatives designed to support academic achievement, personal growth, and character development. Key Responsibilities:  Provides support for all aspects of the Lake Worth Corps After-School, Tutoring, and Summer Day Camp Programs. Collaborate with the Community Center Director to enhance and expand educational programming by identifying and incorporating additional resources. Plans, coordinates, and implements specials outreach activities for the community while developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with local agencies, schools, churches, and other community organizations to strengthen program services and community engagement. Assists with the schedules, and training of after-school program staff, summer day camp staff, tutoring staff, volunteers, and youth leaders. Ensure staff demonstrate appropriate conduct and effectively perform assigned duties. Assists in monitoring performance and conducting periodic evaluations of support staff to promote accountability, professional development, and high-quality program delivery. Assists Community Center Director in developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective orientation process for new members and participants. . Ensures individuals are introduced to the programs, services, policies, and expectations of the Community Center, fostering engagement, participation, and a positive program experience. Cultivate community awareness and support for The Salvation Army’s youth and educational programs by conducting facility tours   representing the organization at community events, and delivering presentations to civic groups, schools, churches, businesses, and other organizations as requested. Assists the Community Center Director in researching, developing, and presenting opportunities to expand community outreach, enhance program offerings, and identify potential funding sources, partnerships, and grant opportunities that support program growth and sustainability.    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with organizational requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to supervise, observe, coach, and effectively instruct youth while ensuring at all times.. Ability to read, understand, and adhere to written Salvation Army guidelines, policies, and procedures. Ability to use good judgment in creating and implementing policies related to dealing with problematic issues where no established policy or procedures are in place. Ability to obtain, maintain, and remain current on all required job-related certifications, licenses, and training. Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
