Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school team in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other communication needs.

This position is ideal for an SLPA who is passionate about helping students develop communication, social interaction, and functional language skills in a school-based environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • Implement treatment plans and therapy activities developed by the supervising SLP.

  • Work with students individually or in small groups to support speech, language, and social communication development.

  • Assist students with expressive and receptive language, articulation, and pragmatic language skills.

  • Collect data on student performance and progress during therapy sessions.

  • Maintain accurate session notes and documentation in accordance with school and district policies.

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and the supervising SLP to support student success.

  • Support students in generalizing communication skills across classroom and social environments.


Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.

  • Active Florida SLPA License (or eligibility) required.

  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or in a school-based setting preferred.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
