We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Truck Upfitter to join our team in Chester Springs, PA. In this role, you will install and assemble equipment on highway safety trucks and light and medium duty commercial vehicles, helping prepare them for customer use. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tools, learning mechanical and 12V electrical skills and product assembly. Training is provided for the right candidate.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install truck equipment such as toolboxes, stakesides,12V lighting, sign stands, and arrow boards etc.
- Perform basic wiring for 12V lights and electrical components (training provided)
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete installations
- Read and follow work orders, diagrams, and instructions
- Ensure all installations meet J-Tech quality and safety standards provided
- Move vehicles and materials within the shop safely
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in hands-on work
- Willingness to learn new skills (no prior upfitting experience required)
- Basic familiarity with tools is a plus
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Pay:Â
- Competitive; based on experience and skill level. Â General range: $20 - $24/hour
