ND Defense is looking for qualified assemblers. This position connects parts into more complex components and ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.Â
Responsibilities:
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications.
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units.
- Check output to ensure highest quality.
- Maintain equipment in good condition.
- Keep records of production quantities and time
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
- Operate overhead cranes and hand tools
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity.Â
- Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision in order to produce complex outputs by putting together smaller components.
- Proven experience as assembler in automotive or mechanical settings
- Ability to use tools (e.g., clamps) and machines (e.g., presses)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
- High school diploma generally required, a higher degree from a technical school preferred
- Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, work in extreme cold and hot temperatures, squat, kneel, push, pull, and stand for long periods of time
