The Patient Services Representative:
- Handles patient registration, scheduling, customer service and clerical support.
- Accepts, records and verifies insurance information, processes preauthorization requests, collects copays and account balance payments, scans documents into EMR and completes other administrative tasks related to the efficient operations of the department.
- Ensures contact with patients, families, the community, vendors, coworkers and physicians is carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.
- Schedules diagnostic procedures.
- Assists with requests for records, charge reconciliation and other clerical responsibilities as needed.

- High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
Experience
- Knowledge of Varian (EMR Software) helpful but not required
