Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the following:

• preparation of complex journal entries and account reconciliations as well as resolving reconciling items
• establishing processes to prevent further occurrences of out of balance conditions
• working with other departments to obtain proper documentation for subsidiary records and addressing reconciling items
• providing their leader feedback to improve quality and accuracy of financial statements and supporting efforts to produce timely and accurate financial statements
• supporting their leader by providing other staff members leadership and technical assistance when appropriate
• working on a number of projects and ad-hoc requests on a routine basis.
• prioritizing own work independently

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree

Experience

• Well-rounded experience as an accountant required. Strong accounting experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
• Solid understanding and experience with common accounting systems and tools.
