The Senior Accountant is responsible for the following:
- preparation of complex journal entries and account reconciliations as well as resolving reconciling items
- establishing processes to prevent further occurrences of out of balance conditions
- working with other departments to obtain proper documentation for subsidiary records and addressing reconciling items
- providing their leader feedback to improve quality and accuracy of financial statements and supporting efforts to produce timely and accurate financial statements
- supporting their leader by providing other staff members leadership and technical assistance when appropriate
- working on a number of projects and ad-hoc requests on a routine basis.
- prioritizing own work independently

Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
Experience
- Well-rounded experience as an accountant required. Strong accounting experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
- Solid understanding and experience with common accounting systems and tools.
