Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist works under the Early Intervention Program Director as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide culturally and linguisticallyĀ appropriate servicesĀ to childrenĀ fromĀ birth to three years of age in a family-centered program.  The Occupational Therapist works directly withĀ children and their families in the children’s natural environments, including, but not limited to, the children’s homesĀ and/or daycare settings. What You'll Do

  • Completing assessmentsĀ and writing objectives
  • Design and implementĀ functional activitiesĀ that address students’ occupational therapy needs.
  • Provide consultation and trainingĀ to classroom staff, ensuring effective strategies are used daily.
  • Consulting withĀ classroom staffĀ regardingĀ students' OT needs
  • OfferĀ direct therapy servicesĀ when needed, applying evidence-based techniques
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to IEP evaluations and ongoing student support.Ā

  • Education:Ā Graduate of an approved program in occupational therapy
  • Licensure:Ā Valid and current license as an OT in Massachusetts
