Packer

The Packer position at Hillandale Farms is responsible for packaging eggs in containers as well as inspecting during that process to ensure quality.

Essential Job Functions

• The person in this role must be dependable and ready to work at the start of their shift.  
• Eggs that are not able to be packed are removed from line and disposed of accordingly

• Packs eggs on racks, pallets or in boxes per processing/customer schedule and customer requirements
• Ensures code dates on cartons are legible, and label requirements are met including information on label and actual placement
• Places finished product boxes on appropriate pallet as they come through the machine.
• Must maintain a clean, safe and productive work area throughout the day 
• Will adhere to Hillandale’s safety practices, follow and encourage Hillandale’s Good Manufacturing Practices 
• Responsible for reporting and incidents and/or observations seen or noticed that may impact food safety, food quality or personnel safety to management immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Conduct self in a professional manner
• Reliable and team player

Physical Requirements 

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Prolong periods of standing
• Twisting, bending and kneeling
