Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and customer-focused Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for completing a variety of repair, maintenance, installation, and improvement projects for residential and/or commercial properties.

The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with customers, and can work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Perform general repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects
Complete basic carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, and fixture-installation work
Assemble, install, repair, and replace equipment, hardware, fixtures, and building materials
Diagnose issues and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions
Prepare work areas, protect customer property, and clean up thoroughly after each project
Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and time spent
Communicate clearly with customers regarding project details, timelines, and recommendations
Follow all company safety procedures, building codes, and applicable regulations
Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and inventory in good working condition
Provide professional, courteous service that reflects positively on the company
Effective and continues communication with the office clerk or manager

Qualifications:

Previous experience in handyman services, property maintenance, construction, remodeling, or a related field
Ability to estimate and price project scopes
Working knowledge of basic carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, doors, windows, and general repairs
Ability to read and follow instructions, measurements, and project specifications
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, punctual, organized, and self-motivated
Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed
Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
Ability to pass a background check
Own professional hand tools
