We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting/Human Resources Coordinator to join our team.Â
The Accounting & Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, financial reporting and month-end/year-end close activities. The position supports overall financialÂ
operations and assists with maintaining accurate and reliable financial information.Â
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesÂ
AccountingÂ
• Manage accounting system using Quick Books Â
• Assure that proper internal controls are in place and adhered to Â
• Perform month-end and year end closings and create related financial reports Â
• Maintain the GL and related sub-accounts including A/R and A/P Â
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll, oversee check distribution and related tax reports Â
• Create invoices and ensure that customer balances are paid on time Â
• Make timely payments to vendors in compliance with their terms Â
• Maintain control of and accuracy of all bank accounts including timely deposits,Â
month end reconciliations and account balances that tie to the G/L Â
• Distribute mail Â
• Maintain filing systems Â
• Assist in maintaining 5S Standards in the office Â
• Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance Â
Human ResourcesÂ
• Administer day-to-day HR functions and ensure compliance with company policiesÂ
and employment practices.Â
• Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR-related questionsÂ
and concerns.Â
• Manage the recruitment process, including posting positions, interviewingÂ
candidates, conducting background checks, and onboarding new employees.Â
• Maintain accurate employee records, electronic personnel files, HR workflows, andÂ
reporting.Â
• Support HRIS implementation, system maintenance, and technologyÂ
improvements.Â
• Coordinate payroll and timekeeping activities, including reviewing employeeÂ
records, processing payroll changes, tracking attendance, and calculatingÂ
employee bonuses.Â
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and related reporting.Â
• Coordinate performance reviews, employee engagement, and recognitionÂ
programs.Â
• Partner with Corporate HR to support benefits administration, employee statusÂ
changes, and policy implementation.Â
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesÂ
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Â
• Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills withÂ
exceptional attention to detail.Â
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentialityÂ
while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.Â
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, andÂ
employee relations.Â
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems; experience with BambooHRÂ
preferred.Â
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support,Â
performance management, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and policyÂ
administration.Â
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish preferred.Â
Education and/or ExperienceÂ
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred  Â
• 2–4 years of experience in a full-charge accounting or bookkeeping roleÂ
• 1–3 years of hands-on HR experience supporting employee relations, recruitment,Â
onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, payroll, and HR complianceÂ
preferred.Â
Computer skills Â
• 3–5 years of demonstrated experience using QuickBooks Â
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Â
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.Â
• Experience with BambooHR or other HRIS platforms, including employee records,Â
workflows, reporting, and electronic personnel files.Â
• Proficiency with payroll and timekeeping systems.
Other RequirementsÂ
Ability to communicate by email, compose documents, enter database information, createÂ
presentations, download forms, and preserve/backup important data.
