Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Facility Cleaning & Housekeeping
- Maintain cleanliness throughout all facility areas including offices, conference rooms, reception areas, hallways, breakrooms, locker rooms, warehouse spaces, manufacturing suites, and support areas.Â
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors throughout the facility.Â
- Dust and clean desks, counters, shelving, windowsills, ledges, and other surfaces.Â
- Clean interior windows, doors, walls, railings, stairwells, and high-touch surfaces.Â
- Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and replace liners.Â
- Maintain cleanliness of employee entrances, hallways, and common walkways.
Manufacturing & Warehouse Area Cleaning
- Clean manufacturing suites, production support areas, and warehouse locations according to established housekeeping standards.Â
- Sweep and maintain warehouse aisles, staging areas, and material storage locations.Â
- Remove cardboard, pallets, trash, and debris from designated warehouse and manufacturing areas.Â
- Clean non-production surfaces including walls, doors, windows, handrails, and support equipment.Â
- Assist with housekeeping activities that support GMP compliance and audit readiness.
Restroom & Breakroom Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize all facility restrooms.Â
- Restock soap, paper towels, toilet paper, sanitizer, and other restroom supplies.Â
- Clean breakroom tables, chairs, countertops, sinks, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee stations, and vending areas.Â
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of employee common areas.
Supply & Inventory Support
- Restock PPE supplies including gloves, beard nets, hair nets, and related consumables.Â
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when replenishment is needed.Â
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies, GMP requirements, and sanitation procedures.Â
- Utilize proper PPE and cleaning chemicals according to established guidelines.Â
- Report maintenance, safety, or housekeeping concerns to management.Â
- Support facility audit readiness through consistent housekeeping practices.Â
Team Support & Development
- Assist with special cleaning projects and facility improvement initiatives.Â
- Support sanitation team activities during peak workloads.Â
- Participate in GMP, safety, and sanitation training.Â
- Learn basic sanitation procedures to prepare for advancement opportunities within the department.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Knowledge of cleaning agents, sanitation tools, and safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, walk, and stand for long periods.
- Adhere to GMP rules and regulations including PPE and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Knowledge of GMP (good Manufacturing Practices) or food/nutraceutical sanitation procedures. (preferred)Â
- Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing cleaning is a plus.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and machinery.
- Climbing Stairs and Step Ladders: Occasionally required to climb stairs and step stools to access higher surfaces or restock supplies.
