What does a Production Maintenance Technician do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Repair and maintain all assets within the production facility. The Production Maintenance Technician must identify, troubleshoot, and repair problems that occur in production equipment and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs on production equipment in between shifts and line changes so that variations in product quality don’t occur
- Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance to pro long the useful life of equipment. This is done regularly as assigned by the business
- Prior to production changes this employee performs equipment change-overs and production line set-ups to prepare for production
- Overhaul and install new equipment on to machines as directed by the business
- Rebuild, fabricate and manage parts inventory to ensure an adequate inventory
- Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or GED) or equivalent degree/certificate required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must become forklift certified within 1 month of hire
- Ability to perform essential functions with little or no supervision
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
