What does a Quality Supervisor do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Lead the laboratory team in assuring product conformity and compliance to internal and external quality & food safety standards established by the QA department, Company and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold all safety practices to prevent injury from unsafe work practices and/or conditions
- Ensure quality department is following all KORE requirements, ISO-9001, ISO-14001, OSHAS-18001 and FSSC-22000 requirements and all Federal/State regulatory requirements for beverage processing
- Monitor adherence to all required work instructions, work aids and forms that pertain to Quality, Environment, Safety and Food Safety including training verifications
- Oversee the daily monitoring of plant sanitation and personal hygiene as outlined by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Monitor proficiency of laboratory personnel and provide feedback to improve the knowledge base of the department. Provide coaching to improve competency and quality of work
- Lead and initiate the troubleshooting of systems, equipment and processes which affect overall quality and food safety of product
- Work closely with plant wide supervisors to achieve overall goals and objectives
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school degree, with college degree preferred in chemistry, biology, or related science field required
- 4+ years experience in Quality Assurance in a food manufacturing industry – soft drink preferred
- ISO quality standards in a soft drink environment preferred
- Strong understanding beverage manufacturing process preferred
- Strong knowledge of industry quality standards for beverage manufacturing preferred
- Specific knowledge of all state and local standards and requirements for water quality and raw materials for food grade production preferred
