Job Duties & Responsibilities

The Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring the overall plant and product quality in accordance with the Quality Control Systems in place throughout the facility. Ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety and defense, and other applicable quality standards.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Sampling, sample submissions, and sample retentions.
  • Line clearance in blending and packaging and first article inspections packaging.
  • QC hold and release.
  • Product fulfillment according to specification.
  • Disposition for minor non-conformances.
  • Verifies blending and packaging rooms and equipment setup.
  • Reviews blending and packaging batch production records for documentation accuracy and completion.
  • Coordinates environmental monitoring and hygiene.
  • Assists in audits and regulatory document requests.
  • Enforces compliance with cGMP, GDP and handwashing policies throughout the facility.
  • Assists in investigations to resolve product and process issues related to quality and compliance.
  • Assists Quality Manager/Supervisor as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • 0–2 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a food or dietary supplement product manufacturing environment, or similar experience or education.
  • May be required to work some holidays/weekends.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous quality experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, cGMPs, HACCP, and SOPs.
  • HACCP experience and training is a plus.
  • Detailed and analytic-oriented abilities.
