Description

Heavy Lift Operations Lead

Reports to: 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Reporting Staff: None

Alternate in Case of Absence: Trained Heavy Lift Operator / 1st Shift Lead

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the daily execution of Heavy Lift Operations and assigned special projects requiring the use of hoists
  • Assigns daily tasks and production orders to operators within the Heavy Lift Operations area
  • Ensures daily production goals and finished pallet run rates are met while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Ensures all work is completed safely and proper hoist and material-handling procedures are followed
  • Serves as the head trainer for Heavy Lift Machine Operators, including heavy-lift functions, RF use, and applicable processes
  • Expert in RF functions and able to assist operators with inventory transactions and troubleshooting
  • Safely operates sit-down forklifts and assists with staging, movement, and positioning of product as needed
  • Performs required data entry and maintains accurate production and inventory information
  • Communicates production status, inventory concerns, delays, and other issues to the Warehouse Supervisor and Customer Service team as needed
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe Heavy Lift Operations area
  • Assists with production and operates equipment as needed to support the team and meet daily requirements


Requirements

Sit-down forklift experience required

Warehouse, production, or material-handling experience required

Previous Lead or training experience preferred

Hoist or heavy-lifting equipment experience preferred

RF scanner and basic computer/data-entry experience preferred

Customer service or customer communication experience preferred

Strong safety awareness, communication, organization, and leadership skills
