What This Role Requires (Core Focus)
We’re looking for a high-level Project Manager who can take full ownership of large-scale data center and telecom projects—from planning through execution and closeout.
This role is best suited for someone who can:
- Lead major projects ($1M+) with full accountability
- Manage timelines, budgets, and field teams simultaneously
- Communicate clearly with clients, leadership, and technicians
- Problem-solve quickly in fast-moving construction environments
️ Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Setup
- Review RFPs, contracts, drawings, and technical specs
- Define scope, timelines, labor needs, and resource plans
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and workforce with operations teams
- Build mobilization strategies for project kickoff
️ Project Execution & Management
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of data center / telecom builds
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal crews
- Track progress, costs, and performance vs. schedule
- Handle change orders, scope adjustments, and client requests
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety requirements, and deadlines
- Run project meetings and provide consistent updates to stakeholders
✅ Quality, Performance & Close-Out
- Partner with QA/QC teams to enforce installation standards
- Ensure structured cabling, rack installs, and infrastructure meet spec
- Drive project completion, client approvals, and sign-off
- Support financial closeout and ensure profitability targets are met
Team Leadership
- Lead and support field teams, foremen, and technicians
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
- Help maintain a high-performing, safety-focused job site
- Drive efficiency improvements and better workflows
✅ What You Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of project management experience in data center, telecom, or construction
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling (fiber + copper), racks, and infrastructure builds
- Experience managing large-scale projects ($1M+) with full lifecycle ownership
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong skills in scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Excellent communication with clients, leadership, and field teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
⭐ Preferred Experience (Differentiators)
- Experience in hyperscale data center environments
- PMP certification
- BICSI (RCDD or RTPM)
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with GMP contracts
- Familiarity with Panduit, CommScope, Corning, or similar products
