Job Position Summary: You will be responsible to ensure the integrity and suitability of manufactured goods for delivery to customers. You will perform inspections of parts according to customer specifications.


You must have:

  • A high School Diploma or Equivalent. Tech School preferred.
  • 2+ yrs Experience as an Inspector for Manufacturing. 
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry, preferred
  • Strong Attention to details
  • Basic computer skills 
  • The ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators.
  • The ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheets.
  • The ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
  • The ability to follow set up instructions, set up, and operate machine controls.
  • The ability to write nonconformance reports (NCR’s)
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning computer systems and how it pertains to inspection.
  • The ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Familiarity with all measuring equipment (borescopes, surface profilometers, gage blocks, thread gages, go/no-go gages.)
  • Strong understanding of 6S.

 

In your role, you will:

  • Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required. 
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of a variety of part numbers.
  • Enter inspection results into ERP system.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, operation process sheets and work instruction.
  • Perform receiving inspection of raw material & parts received from outside processes.
  • Use all measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, indicators, micrometers.
  • Write nonconformance reports (NCR)
  • Maintain a clean organized work area.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
  • Ability to pass annual eye exam by licensed optometrist.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
