 PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Performs a variety of duties such as building subassemblies and related items. Following specified assembly methods, assembles minor units or subassemblies with a small number of details and very light parts following standard methods and procedures.  Performs a variety of duties to pack, ship, and/or mount scopes on specified products.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sub‑assemblies include, for example, such parts as bolt handles, bolt bodies, bolt heads, firing pins, springs, ejectors, extractors, hammers, sights, breech bolts, trigger guard assemblies, etc.  
  • Make simple fits using hand and light power tools, ream, tap, file non-critical parts and make simple adjustments or alignment of parts for free working and proper fit. 
  • Packs product in accordance with specifications for various models and used prescribed methods to maintain quality standards for packing.
  • Install scope to base of rifles. Utilizing proper spud, will sight through scope and adjust scope to align scope to grid pattern. Adjust screws to provide for proper adjustment and to allow for future yardage and windage adjustments. Adjust eye relief as required and tighten scope.
  • Make adjustments for required fits, clearances, tightness, and alignment according to prescribed procedures and methods to maintain quality standards. Makes minor repairs, as required.
  • Transports and maintains material and supplies within area as required.
  • Uses such hand tools and holding fixtures as necessary. 
  • Make simple tests of completed subassemblies or components following prescribed procedures and limits of acceptance. 
  • Following prescribed repair guidelines and perform repairs to rejected products or components as assigned. 
  • Uses prescribed methods to maintain quality standards. Maintains standard level of production output given normal level of production interference. 
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.  Maintains equipment as required.   
  • Follows specific safety and operating procedures. 
  • May train or instruct others how to perform this job. May perform other related duties as assigned. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Job requires knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures. Must be able to use hand tools and power tools as required. May train or instruct others how to perform this job. May perform other related duties as assigned
