About the Role:

The Studio Manager holds full four-wall accountability—operating as the CEO of their Glowbar studio and taking personal pride in its success. They are ultimately responsible for hitting revenue and membership goals while holding their team accountable to individual performance metrics.

A positive, proactive, and pragmatic people leader, the Studio Manager ensures the studio operates at a 10 every single day. They build a people-first culture through consistent coaching, clear communication, and strong accountability, creating an environment where the team and the client experience both thrive.

Studio Managers own local field marketing, executing monthly activations that leverage networking and sales to drive growth. They regularly inspect performance across membership metrics, service quality, inventory, and scheduling, maintaining excellence at every level.

Above all, the Studio Manager is the glue that holds the studio together. They are the dependable presence their team counts on to model excellence, inspire confidence, and lead the way.

A Peek Into Your Day:

  • Analyze weekly and monthly performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth

  • Recruit, interview, and help build a team that reflects Glowbar's values and standards

  • Onboard and train new team members, setting them up for success from day one

  • Hold biweekly one-on-ones with team members to support development and alignment

  • Conduct regular treatment room shadows and assessments to maintain service excellence

  • Manage studio labor and expenses with an owner's mindset, protecting profitability

  • Champion the Glowbar brand in your market - build relationships with like-minded local businesses to drive partnerships and lead generation

  • Keep a pulse on team morale and proactively address friction before it becomes a problem

  • Create a studio culture so strong that retention speaks for itself

  • Escalate client concerns quickly and thoughtfully, turning every challenge into a loyalty moment

  • Ensure all studio compliance standards (safety, cleanliness, and brand) are met without exception

  • Host and lead studio visits from business partners with professionalism and pride

  • Step in to cover administrative and direct report responsibilities during periods of open headcount

  • Own the front desk for one to two full shifts per week, plus daily coverage during lunch breaks, leading by example alongside your team

  • 3+ years of progressive people management experience in a fast-paced, service-based industry (fitness, hospitality, retail, restaurant, hotel, salon/spa, etc.)

  • Proven track record of operational and financial success, including driving studio-level margins, disciplined expense management, and overall business growth

  • Exceptional leadership presence with demonstrated ability to hire, train, coach, and develop high-performing teams that consistently exceed goals

  • Inspirational and professional management style that balances accountability with empathy, creating a positive and performance-driven culture

  • Strong business and operational acumen with an understanding of retail/service industry standards, policies, and compliance

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust, clarity, and collaboration across employees and clients alike

Working Conditions:
At Glowbar, our studios are active, client-focused environments — and we want you to know what’s involved behind the scenes. Here’s what you can expect physically in this role:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the entire shift

  • Bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting (up to 15 pounds) — including merchandise, laundry, and back-of-house supplies

  • Climbing up and down stairs during shift operations

  • Remaining mobile and on your feet for the full duration of your shift (shift lengths may vary)

  • Exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels, particularly in laundry or supply areas

  • Performing operational tasks such as restocking, organizing supplies, and light cleaning

  • Required to work weekends, evenings and holiday to support our client demand
