GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:Â
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Â
Minimum of two (2) years in mechanics.Â
Must possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license. Â
Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team player. Â
Must possess excellent customer service skill. Â
Must be able to work any day, any shift. Â

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Â
Responsible for all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the building as directed by a supervisor. Â
Ensures adherence to OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures. Â
Operates company vehicles as needed. Â
Conducts preventative maintenance. Â
Supports and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines. Â
Promotes outstanding guest relations. Â
Performs all other duties as assigned.Â

PHYSICAL & MENTAL:Â
Must be able to work independently. Â
Must be able to respond to calmly and make rational decisions, when handling guest and employee conflicts. Â
Must be capable of standing for prolonged periods of time. Â
Responds to visual and aural cues. Â
Must be able to stoop, bend, as well as, maneuver up and down stairs. Â
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Â
Must have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, type, pull, hold, tear, sort, reach, and file appropriate paperwork. Â
Must be able to perform physical and mental duties of engineering personnel. Â
Must be able to recognize and respond to individuals with their questions. Â
Must present a well-groomed appearance.Â

WORK ENVIRONMENT:Â
Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust and bright lights. Â
Must be able to operate the following equipment: computer, telephones, fax, and copy machine. Â
Must be able to learn and retain locations, operation and repair procedures of this property’s mechanical systems, equipment and life safety system. Â
Must possess the coordination and dexterity to work with sweeper, high-pressure steamer, company vehicles, front loaders, man lifts, backhoes, and other necessary equipment. Â
