A pigment bagger operates industrial packaging and filling equipment in a manufacturing setting to safely weigh, pack, and seal chemical powders or color pigments into bags, ensuring proper weights, neat palletizing, and strict adherence to environmental and safety rules. 
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate packing lines and solids conveying equipment in a safe, environmentally responsible manner.
Operate a forklift in limited driving areas.
Obtain certified departmental training.
Follow operating procedures for optimal packaging performance.
Monitor packaging equipment to ensure proper operating equipment.
Verify correct product codes, target weights, and package seals to meet client orders.
Stack filled bags onto pallets neatly, wrapping and labeling them securely for warehouse storage or shipping.
Clear minor jams, clean equipment attachments, and report major mechanical defects to maintenance teams.
Start, monitor, and adjust automated or semi-automated bagging machines and conveyor systems.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), follow environmental protocols, and maintain a clean work area.
 
KEY SKILLS:
Quick learner and team-oriented individual.
High regard for safety and environmental performance.
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Must have)
Must be able to lift and stack 50lb + packaged units.
Must be able to work in a chemical manufacturing environment 
Must be cleanly shaven
Must have Steel-Toe Boots
Must have unexpired Driver's License/ID
Must have a TWIC Card
   High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to stand for long periods and frequently lift heavy loads (often up to 50 lbs).
Precision in recording numbers, checking labels, and matching production schedules.
Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled, industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to dust and noise.
