Job Title: Physical Therapist School-Based
Location: Westland, MI
Schedule: Full-Time (on-site)
Pay Rate: $40.00-$45.00 P/hour
Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to support students across several schools within the Westland, MI area. This is a school-based position serving a diverse student population from early childhood through middle school, with some homebound services included (Mileage Reimbursement). The PT will work with school administration to build a consistent and manageable weekly schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Deliver direct physical therapy services in accordance with IEP/IFSP goals
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records and documentation
Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and school psychologists
Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
Educate school staff and families on mobility, positioning, and physical accessibility supports
Adapt therapy plans to suit various environments including classrooms, playgrounds, and home settings (for homebound students)
Qualifications:
Current Michigan Physical Therapy License
Previous experience in pediatrics or school-based settings preferred
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Ability to work with students of varying physical abilities and developmental levels
