Position Overview:


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design/Controls Engineer with strong experience in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA systems. The ideal candidate will design, develop, program, and implement industrial automation and control systems to support manufacturing, process control, and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can work from concept to commissioning, ensuring systems are reliable, safe, and optimized for performance. This position offers two days remote per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement automation control systems, including hardware and software, to meet project requirements.
  • Program, test, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) for industrial applications.
  • Develop and configure HMI and SCADA interfaces for system monitoring, control, and reporting.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning both in-house and on-site.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define system specifications and deliver solutions on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and best engineering practices.
  • Provide technical support, training, and documentation for installed systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
