We are looking to add an Electrical Engineer II – Spacecraft Hardware role on the spacecraft team. You will perform PCB-level implementation, translating spacecraft requirements into robust hardware designs while ensuring alignment with overall system performance, reliability, and mission objectives. You will own board-level development from design through production while contributing to subsystem definition, integration, and troubleshooting across the full spacecraft lifecycle. 

Mentorship and growth are key to long-term success. The successful candidate will be surrounded by more experienced engineers in hardware as well as software, FPGAs, thermal, mechanical, and other fields. Rapid technical and professional growth is both encouraged and expected.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.  

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics hardware development. 

  • Proficiency in electronics design (EDA) tools such as Altium and experience with PCB layout. 

  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.  

  • Experience creating and editing block diagrams to represent system or board functionality. 

  • Ability to conduct trade studies on part selection or technical direction taking input from others. 

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills to work with broader cross-functional teams. 

  • Excellent electrical engineering fundamentals with an understanding of how to apply them to novel tasks. 

  • Willingness to take on challenges and dig into difficult problems and stick with them until they are solved 


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Simulation and analysis experience such as power integrity, signal integrity, or worst-case circuit analysis. 

  • Experience using LTSpice for circuit and/or system level simulations. 

  • Advanced university coursework in analog, digital, RF, or power electronics hardware. 

  • Experience with microcontroller or FPGA based systems. 

  • Programming fundamentals (C/C++, Python, etc.).  

  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC concepts and understanding of how to design to mitigate these effects. 

  • Relevant extracurricular involvement such as engineering competition teams.
