IT Integration and Analytics Summer Intern – 2026

 

Tri-State is an electric power utility providing electricity to rural electric cooperatives.  We have an IT Integration and Analytics Summer Intern opportunity for 2026. Students who have successfully completed three (3) or more years of undergraduate study towards a degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or similar from an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply.  Seniors who will be graduating in December or are planning to or already attending graduate school in the Fall are also encouraged to apply. 

This summer position offers students hands on opportunity to support the development of Tri-State’s data warehouse and centralized reporting solution. This will include communicating with business users, acquiring and defining business requirements, developing custom data views, and generating dashboards/reports for use by the business. This position will be working directly with IT’s Integration and Analytics team and have exposure to a wide range of various professionals with different skillsets. 

 

Responsibilities: Intern will be creating requirements, data modeling, and developing BI Reports/dashboards.

 

Projects may include the following:

  • Centralize Analytics

 

Job Requirements:

Intern should have strong communication skills, experience in visualization, BI Development, SQL, general coding (python preferred), and be strong in math.

 

Duration and Work Schedule

  • The duration of the summer internship will be from about the end of May until the end of August.                                        

  • The work schedule includes Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., forty hours per week. There is a possibility of telecommuting with 40% of the work week.

 

Tri-State offers a competitive pay rate for this position.  The position is based at Tri-State’s Headquarters at 1100 W. 116th Avenue, Westminster, CO 80234.
