We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Financial Analyst to support accounting and finance operations, with a strong emphasis on developing expertise across General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, financial reporting, forecasting, and expense management. This role will provide broad exposure to both the accounting and finance functions while supporting accurate financial reporting, analyzing business results, and helping automate processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, highly organized, and eager to contribute in a fast-paced environment while developing strong accounting and financial analysis skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
General Accounting & Financial Operations
• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. • Assist with the preparation, review, and posting of journal entries and related supporting documentation. • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. • Assist with account reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger activities. • Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, appropriate coding, and proper accounting treatment. • Assist with maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules. • Develop an understanding of accounting processes and their impact on financial statements and business results.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Assist with the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial reporting. • Review actual financial results against budget, forecast, and prior periods to identify significant variances and trends. • Assist with variance analysis and provide supporting detail to explain changes in financial performance.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial forecasts and related analyses. • Assist with analyzing financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. • Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to investigate variances and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
Expense Management
• Review employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, appropriate coding, and compliance with company policies. • Assist with resolving expense-related questions and discrepancies. • Analyze expense activity and identify unusual trends or opportunities for improved expense management. • Support efforts to streamline and improve expense reporting processes.
Process Improvement & Automation
• Assist with streamlining, standardizing, and automating recurring accounting and finance processes. • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, reports, templates, and other tools to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Assist with automation initiatives designed to reduce manual processes and improve reporting capabilities. • Document and maintain finance and accounting procedures to promote consistency and scalability. • Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

Education/Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required. • 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, financial analysis, or a related field; internship experience considered. • Understanding of basic accounting principles, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial analysis. • Experience with ERP or accounting systems preferred. • Exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, or Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Interest in process improvement, automation, and leveraging technology to improve finance and accounting processes.
