CAPS Collaborative is seeking applicants for the position of Speech Language Pathologist. The CCC-SLP provides consultation and/or direct therapy services, completes initial and tri-annual evaluations, develops and oversees implementation of IEP goals and objectives and utilizes effective curriculum materials and behavior management strategies for a manageable caseload. ** Caseloads may include districts such as Leominster, Winchendon, Orange and other nearby districts.

About the role:

Provide quality speech/language therapy services, including assessment, intervention, program planning and implementation, discharge planning, and communication. Service provision includes both direct and consultative approaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation and screenings using both informal and standardized testing in Speech/Language.
  • Generate IEP goals to reflect needs determined through evaluation.
  • Attend scheduled meetings.
  • Provide direct services as indicated on IEP
  • Provide indirect consultative services with teachers and parents as indicated on IEP.
  • Provide in-service workshops and professional development as requested.
  • Supervise SLPA's and/or Graduate students.
  • Travel between schools and programs as deemed necessary.
  • Monthly Medicaid submittal on eligible students.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and ensure student/staff confidentiality as appropriate within the educational team
  • Contribute to professional growth and collaboration by staying informed on current literature/resources in the field and actively participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Candidate requirements:

  • Master's Degree with certification of Clinical Competence from ASHA
  • Educator licensure in Speech/Language Massachusetts
  • Assistive Technology Background a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to navigate all areas of the school quickly including indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
