Position SummaryĀ
The Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, and supports scalable cloud-native software solutions. Working closely with Product Management, Systems Engineering, and Solution Architecture, this role owns features end-to-endāfrom engineering specifications through production deploymentādelivering secure, reliable, and maintainable software.Ā

ResponsibilitiesĀ
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support full-stack applications using Java/Spring Boot, Vue.js, and Python/FastAPI.Ā
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine engineering specifications and deliver high-quality software solutions.Ā
Build andĀ operateĀ cloud-native applications on AWS using Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.Ā
Develop secure, scalable APIs and software following engineering standards and best practices.Ā
Apply AI throughout theĀ AI-Assisted (Agentic) SDLCĀ to accelerate implementation, code review, testing, debugging, and documentation whileĀ validatingĀ all AI-generated outputs.Ā
Contribute to engineering automation, continuous improvement, and AI-enabled development practices.Ā

Minimum QualificationsĀ
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.Ā
3ā5 yearsĀ of experience developing cloud-native software applications.Ā
ProficiencyĀ inĀ Java/Spring Boot,Ā Vue.js,Ā React, Angular, PostgreSQLĀ andĀ Python/FastAPI.Ā
Experience withĀ AWS,Ā Docker,Ā Kubernetes, andĀ Infrastructure as CodeĀ (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or equivalent).Ā
Strong understanding of REST APIs, modern software design, Agile development, and engineering best practices.Ā
Demonstrated experience working within an AI-Assisted (Agentic) SDLC, using AI to generate production-ready code,Ā validateĀ automated tests,Ā identifyĀ and remediate defects, and improve software quality while exercising sound engineering judgment.Ā

Preferred QualificationsĀ
Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.Ā
Experience with GCP or multi-cloud environments.Ā
Experience with CI/CD andĀ DevOpsĀ practices.Ā
Experience withĀ Spec-Driven DevelopmentĀ or specification-first engineering.Ā
Experience creating AI agents, engineering automations, or AI-enabled developer workflows.Ā
Pay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidateās experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.
ā The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 - $154,000.00 annually.Ā
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
