JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define requirements, designs, and provide ongoing support for electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) development for testing a satellite.
  • Work with Systems Engineering to establish test plans and maintain requirements verification test matrix.
  • Work with Program Management to build AI&T schedules that inform master schedules.
  • Support on-orbit mission operations with knowledge gained from integration/test activities.
  • Validate all electrical interfaces between test equipment and flight hardware.
  • Provide expert guidance and peer review for satellite assembly, integration, and test campaigns.
  • Develop and execute acceptance/qualification testing activities including, but not limited to, vibration, acoustic, shock, propulsion static fires, EMI/EMC, RF, self compatibility, ground compatibility, day in the life (DITL), and thermal vacuum testing.
  • Lead anomaly reporting as well as root cause and corrective action implementation in a manner that indicates sound engineering judgement and applies excellent communication skills.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues during sub-system, and component integration and test.
  • Lead and participate in integration and test readiness reviews along with post-operational briefings.
  • Analyze, document, and present integration and test data to support verification activities.
  • Author test procedures and lead/conduct test activities.
  • Support satellite AI&T and launch operations effort (including the sequence of activities, required facilities, special test equipment, personnel, schedule, risks, and opportunities).
  • Work both independently and in teams to achieve integration and test objectives.
  • Identify, support, and help enforce safety policies and practices for assembly, integration, and test activities.
  • Work onsite in the lab and cleanroom daily for AI&T operations.


JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 9 years experience including prior significant roles on spacecraft or related systems assembly, integration and test operations. 
  • Must have prior experience in multiple stages of satellite and component/GSE development including early design for test, test operations, and operational missions.
  • Experience in requirements management, system design, integration, and test.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, with willingness to learn new ones.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Test experience with RF communication systems.
  • Test experience with EMI/EMC compatibility and mitigation.
  • Experience using COSMOS and Grafana.
