We are seeking shuttle drivers to work in Weston. These are steady, local routes transporting college students.Â
This position will be the busiest when college is in session, but we expect to have hours available during breaks as well.Â
We operate walk-on 14-passenger vehicles which do not require a CDL - however, if you have a CDL you get paid extra and are encouraged to apply! Drug testing, a DOT physical, and other compliance measures will be followed.
Non-CDL drivers earn $23/hour to start. Applicants who already have a CDL (w/ P endorsement) earn $24/hour to start.Â
VPA offers weekly payroll - get a check, direct deposit, or a pay card each week!
Currently, we are seeking 3 positions -
1 FT Driver will predominately work mornings, with a 6am start. Some Saturday hours may be needed.Â
1 FT Driver will predominately work evenings, with around a 2pm start. Some Saturday hours may be needed.
1 PT Driver will work on a fill-in basis weekdays, and also work Saturdays.Â

Shuttle Driver- Job Description
The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location where the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
- Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
- Opening and closing doors for patrons
- Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
- Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
- Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
- Recording passenger counts and trip times
- Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
- Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)
- Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
- Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
- Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations

License required: valid class D (Non-CDL) license in good standing
Due to our insurance regulations, shuttle drivers must be at least 20 years old.Â
A valid DOT Medical card is also required. (We will pay for qualified applicants to obtain their medical card if necessary - a simple DOT physical). Obtaining a MA Motorcoach certificate (with our assistance) will be a condition of employment.Â

Professional driving experience is a plus.
Background checks and driving tests will be conducted.
