- Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
- The Painter performs necessary surface preparation and painting throughout the facility. He/She has the typical skills associated with general painting and the ability to continually strive for excellence.
- Applies protective and decorative coats of paint, or other related materials, to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment, and other structures.
- Prepares surfaces for paint application using sandpaper, wire brushes, steel wool, scrapers, etc.
- Maintains existing paint surfaces through matching and painting with appropriate paint products
- Prepares and implements line striping layouts for parking lots
- Repairs holes, cracks, and joints on all surfaces as needed.
- Responsible for keeping inventory and shop cleanliness.
- All employees will respond to call bells; call bells will be acknowledged by the 3rd ring and responded to within less than 4 minutes
- Responds to emergency calls and participates in on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:Â
- 5+ years of experience.
- Valid High Pressure Black Seal Boiler License.
- Graduate from High School or Equivalent.
- Experience painting a variety of surfaces: drywall, wood, metal, concrete, and piping insulation.
- Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of chemical substances and hazardous materials.
- Ability to work comfortably on scaffolding, staging, and ladders for elevated work.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role. Â
