Job DetailsJob Location: WHARTON, TX 77488Salary Range: $46,489.00 - $77,481.00 Salary/yearSUMMARY: Installation and repairs of electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery, and equipment by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned: Follow and promote company safety rules and policies and follows acceptable safety work practices. Install power supply wiring conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as extruders and control cabinets, electrical motors and programmable controllers. Connects power supply wires machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machine and equipment. Repair and replace faulty PLC’s, DC and AC drives Test for any malfunctions and verify if repairs are necessary Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring conduit and electrical apparatus in building Designs and draw electrical schematics and request any purchase necessary to build and install electrical control panels for equipment Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors and other position sensing devices Fabricate new equipment or modify existing equipment to meet production standards Perform electrical preventative maintenance on extrusion equipment and other related equipment QualificationsQUILIFICATIONS: Must have High school diploma and or general education degree (GED); 1-3 years of related experience and or/training; or equivalent combination of education, in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic. COMPUTER SKILLS: Experience with computers, basic keyboarding skills, knowing the proper use of voltage testing equipment LANGUAGE SKILLS: Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have ability to read and write schematics in all related areas MATHEMATIC SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages. Ability to work with the metric system REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in changing situations. Ability to make accurate and timely decisions in a stressful environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, climb ladders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must have specific vision abilities such as distance, color, peripheral and depth perception and can adjust focus. The employee regularly works with new moving mechanical and hydraulic equipment. The employee in some occasions may work outside and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, airborne particles and vibration, and the noise level in the environment is usually loud.
