About the Role
As an Inside Sales Representative at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will drive volume growth and maximize profitability within an assigned territory by delivering industry-leading customer service and operational excellence. This role plays a key part in building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships while collaborating closely with outside sales representatives to achieve shared sales and performance goals. You will balance proactive customer engagement with precise order execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is located in Wheatland, PA.
What You’ll Do
Partner with outside sales representatives to drive revenue growth and meet performance targets.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring consistent communication and superior service.
Proactively identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance the customer experience.
Execute outbound prospecting efforts, including cold calling, to expand the customer base.
Manage all aspects of customer service and order fulfillment with precision and efficiency.
Ensure timely and accurate order processing from initial request through final delivery.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper handling of orders with special characteristics.
Monitor market conditions and communicate key insights, trends, and competitive pricing updates to sales management.
Determine competitive pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Oversee customer inventory programs to prevent excess stock and obsolescence.
Coordinate expedited shipping for ready-to-ship materials to meet customer deadlines.
Provide territory coverage when the primary representative is unavailable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computer-based systems and CRM tools.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service orientation with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Experience in the steel industry or a related manufacturing sector (preferred).
Proven success in an inside sales role (preferred).
Creative problem-solving ability with a strategic mindset.
Results-driven with a strong sense of accountability and ability to build trust with customers.
