Overview

Surveillance Operators are responsible for the daily on-going monitoring and observation of casino operations, while ensuring the security and integrity of casino assets, staff and patrons. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)   - Routine surveillance of the gaming floor identifying potential problems, such as poor game protection, suspicious individuals, and acting as a support unit to other departments in relation to the protection of company assets. - Attention to detail and sound observational skills for conducting reviews, writing and completing reports and logs that could be used as evidence in legal matters that have resulted from criminal charges against patrons or employees. - Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency situations. - Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations. - Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces. - Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)   A minimum of one (1) or more years of experience in a Surveillance field. Gaming related positions (Cage, Slot, Table Games or Audit) will be considered. Analytical, observational, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Casino Surveillance or related surveillance experience is an asset.   ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):   - Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State and ERGC Gaming regulations. - Must successfully pass background check. - Must successfully pass drug screening. - Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. - Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours. - Prior experience in the Gaming industry required. - Prior experience in Tribal Gaming strongly preferred.   KNOWLEDGE OF:   - Knowledge of computer applications. - Must be able to use a computer and operate efficiently   ABILITY TO:   - Must be able to get along with co-workers and work in a team environment - Must be able to work overtime and or change shifts on short notice - Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke and excessive noise. - Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
