Job DetailsJob Location: RM Detention Center - Wheeling, WV 26003Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedSalary Range: $14.00 - $14.00 HourlyJob Category: FacilitiesJob Summary: Responsible for janitorial tasks associated with cleanliness, sanitation, minor maintenance and housekeeping of buildings and grounds.  This employee is responsible for following safe work practices and maintaining safe environments in compliance with established standards, regulations, and generally accepted practices.   Duties and Responsibilities: Perform daily custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning windows, etc. Daily monitoring of all repair and general maintenance needs of facility and equipment and report to supervisor immediately. Maintain inventory of all equipment supplies Request in advance all needed supplies from supervisor Report any major repair and improvement needs to supervisor promptly. Responsible for compliance with fire, health, and safety standards Follow and complete daily duty list Maintain positive relationship with clients Attend required training as assigned. Attend training as assigned Respond to on-call maintenance emergencies Employees are required to use their personal vehicles in certain circumstances and as directed in the performance of their duties Other duties as assigned   Required Skills/Abilities: Capable of servicing upkeep of buildings Capable of operating equipment needed for this line of work Capable of organizing tasks and completing scheduled tasks with minimal supervision Capable of heavy work Valid Driver’s License Good Attendance   Education and Experience: Requires High school diploma/equivalency or 1 year of experience in field or related area.
