To set, serve, and clean up all banquet events while striving to exceed any and all of the guest’s expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Set all parties with necessary china and glassware.
  • Serve all guests functions using the proper serving habits.
  • Clear all dinnerware used and return it to dish washing area for cleaning.
  • Responsible for all service areas, refilling condiments, salt and peppers, coffee stations, etc.
  • Any specific assignments by management incidental to the performance of the work.
  • Must become knowledgeable about the park and all related information pertinent to job.
  • Must be able to carry trays weighing approximately 40 lbs. to and from staging area. 
  • Must be able to work all shifts including nights, holidays and weekends. 
  • Complete appropriate trainings listed on the human resources Training Matrix.
  • Adhere to Wheeling Park Commission’s safety rules and policy; refer any and all safety concerns to department manager, safety committee or human resources.
  • Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
