We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic professional to join our team as an Analytical Chemist in Whitby, ON.
This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities:
- Documents experimental data accurately in compliance with ALCOA principles and GMP requirements.
- Performs HPLC, GC, dissolution, and physical testing following established analytical methods and SOPs.
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment including HPLC, GC, KF, FTIR, viscometer, particle size analyzer, and pH meters.
- Utilizes Empower, LIMS, MS Word, and Excel for data management, documentation, and reporting.
- Troubleshoots analytical system suitability issues, interprets results, and supports OOS investigations.
- Maintains a safe laboratory environment and supports rotating shift schedules as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science in chemistry or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience performing analytical testing for prototype to commercial batches in support of development and/or manufacturing operations.
- Hands-on experience operating and utilizing analytical laboratory equipment, including GC, HPLC, KF, KF-Coulometer, FTIR, viscometer, particle size analyzer, pH meter, and other basic laboratory instruments.
- Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as determination of test reliability, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and flexible schedules as required by operational needs.
Note: Salary ranges from $28–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
