The Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home is seeking a dependable and compassionate PM Cook (Dietary) to prepare and serve nutritious, well-balanced evening meals for our residents. This position plays an essential role in supporting resident health, comfort, and dignity through quality food service in a long-term care environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • ๐Ÿฒ Prepare and cook dinner meals according to planned menus and prescribed dietary requirements

  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Follow standardized recipes, proper portion control, and food safety guidelines

  • ๐Ÿฅ— Assist with meal preparation for lunch and other upcoming services as needed

  • ๐Ÿงผ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, food prep areas, and storage spaces

  • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Comply with all dietary regulations, infection control standards, and safety protocols

  • ๐Ÿค Work collaboratively with dietary team members to ensure timely and efficient meal service

  • ๐ŸŒพ Respect resident preferences, cultural considerations, and specialized diets

Qualifications

  • Previous cooking or food service experience preferred (healthcare or institutional setting a plus)

  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting
