We are seeking an Electrical Discipline Engineer to join our MEP discipline in our Westchester, NY office. Join a team that’s powering the future of infrastructure.H2M’s Electrical Engineering team delivers safe, reliable, and forward‑thinking power and systems design that supports modern, high‑performance buildings and infrastructure. Our engineers provide practical, code‑compliant solutions tailored to each client’s technological and operational needs. As an Electrical Discipline Engineer, you’ll oversee design efforts for power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems across municipal, commercial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of design in the design of electrical systems such as power distribution, stand-by power generation, lighting, communication, fire alarm and security systems. 
  • Grow, develop and supervise a group of Electrical Engineers in project design and development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications, respond to client questions and comments, review contractor submittals, and provide clarifications during construction.
  • Oversee/Review electrical department design documents for completion and department staff adhere to accepted industry and company standards.
  • Working with our QA/QC team, assist in the development of company quality standards and procedures.
  • Work with MEP management team to develop and implement electrical short- and long-range manpower and production plans to meet project objectives.
  • Assist in cultivation of business development initiatives to pursue new projects including participation in client presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 10+ years’ design-related experience with a consulting engineering firm designing and building power, lighting, communication, and security systems.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • A thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry, including the Federal, State, and local laws and regulations that pertain to the industry.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software).
  • LEED Accreditation and working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience managing a team of professionals is a plus.  
  • Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000 annually.
