Civil Engineer – Discipline

Responsibilities:

• Design and coordination of work for multi-discipline projects (due diligence/site feasibility studies, site engineering, through regulatory approvals, full permitting for full range of site development projects)
  
• Develop site layout and design (site grading and storm drainage, roadway design, water and sewer infrastructure, erosion and sediment control)
  
• Prepare hydrology and hydraulic calculations
  
• Project administration duties (report writing, gathering information, writing proposals/correspondence, tracking project costs, completing progress reports)
  
• Prepare engineer’s opinion of probably cost for designed projects and specifications for public bids
  
• Coordinate tasks with other departments (engineering and architectural)
  
• Build/maintain client relationships
  
• Responsible for delivering projects on-time, on budget, and within quality standards
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related discipline
  
• 12+ years of design experience with a focus on site development projects
  
• PE License
  
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices of related technical areas
  
• Knowledge of NYSDEC storm water drainage and SWPPP requirements
  
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills, Autoturn, Excel, and Photoshop
  

Salary is commensurate with experience.
