Job Title:  Security

Scope: Maintains safe and secure environment for guests and

associates by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting interior and exterior of the building, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Maintains a “can do” and a “guests first” attitude at all times; customer service mindset.
• Resolves guest complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; responds promptly to any guest request for service.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintains hotel's stability & reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Controls traffic by directing drivers/valets guest’s vehicles.
• Obtains emergency assistance by sounding alarms.
• Able to perform Housekeeping and Maintenance duties when requested.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Works as a member of the overall hotel team to ensure that each guest has an experience that exceeds their expectations
• Arrives at work in a timely fashion in accordance with the posted schedule.
• Abides by established uniform guidelines.
• Attends scheduled training sessions within the hotel as dictated by the brand and the hotel management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:     High School Diploma or greater

Experience:     Minimum of year (2) years’ experience in security. Hotel or Retail experience a plus.

Certification:    Preferred, but not required.
