Working very closely with and assisting the General Manager in leading our excellent team of hospitality professionals providing top notch guest experiences! This role in assumes collaborative responsibility for assigned location and staff to assure efficient and profitable operation. Establishes tone for property.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with overall day to day operations for assigned location.
- Assists with training & support of all staff.
- Assists with planning & organizing regularly scheduled staff meetings with department heads to review and update hotel activity.
- Resolves guest and employee concerns tactfully and in a timely manner.
- Fosters team environment among all staff members and inter-company departments.
- Works in unison with the Human Resources Department to assist with applicant screening, interviewing and hiring.
- Assists with Employee check-in, on-boarding & orientation.
- Follows up on training programs for employees and familiarizes them with Company policies and procedures.
- Administers employee personnel policies on location. Delegates authority and assigns responsibilities to department heads.
- Daily inspection of rooms, public areas, and kitchen for cleanliness and efficiency.
- Reviews and approves department schedules. Â
- Responsible for managerâs operating bank and distributes monies and makes change when necessary.
- Assists in all departments when necessary.
- Verifies group tour blocking and total hotel occupancy with front office manager daily.
- Communicates on a regular basis with Reservations Department, Sales and other central service areas, especially regarding any unusual situations.
- Ensures the safety and protection of property, guests and employees.
- Enforces and follows all Company policies and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including ongoing Training & Support at any GPC property

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1-3 years Guest Services or Hotel Management experience is required.
- ÂÂÂÂHotel/Restaurant degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experience in seasonal hotel operations or concessions preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
- Must possess ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of management and staff.
- Must be friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic and courteous in dealing with guests and co-workers.
- Must be able to handle guest concerns in a professional and tactful manner.
- Must use tact and discretion due to exposure to confidential matters
- Â Must communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with a solid attention to detail.
- Must bring a keen eye for detail, organization, safety and cleanliness to improve GPC operations
- Must bring a positive, helpful, team-oriented, âwe can do this togetherâ attitude to all aspects of the job that inspires others
- Must exhibit a real curiosity about the business for GPC and for Pursuit overall
- Must ask good questions and drill down into details to improve the business
- Must process information quickly and take initiative to recommend solutions to challenges
- Must stay cool under pressure by being resilient, adaptable and flexible
