ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

Accountable for the development of Hilite manufacturing capabilities and for assuring proper manufacturing processing of components and assemblies to obtain maximum productivity and quality; coordinating Manufacturing Engineering programs and activities to achieve timely resolution to manufacturing problems and new process launches.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

BS in engineering, 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering function, 3+ years in an engineering leadership role. An extensive knowledge of engineering practices and principles as well as understanding scientific methods of problem solving is desired. This position also requires a working knowledge of quality management systems, maintenance systems, purchasing systems, cost analysis, product design methods, interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate all of these skills to a productive cost-effective result.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Monitor and direct day-to-day process development to ensure product quality, timely product shipments, continuing cost effectiveness and divisional profitability
  1. Assign and prioritize manufacturing engineering projects, tracking progress towards completion by following published timelines to attain maximum effectiveness of manufacturing engineering efforts
  1. Prepare and present project reports, test records status and weekly project reports to keep manager fully aware of activities and progress
  1. Develop and execute new manufacturing processes, tools and fixtures, and machine maintenance techniques to maximize productivity and minimize costs
  1. Evaluate new product designs, working closely with product engineering to achieve optimum manufacturing, high quality and lowest cost
  1. Development of production standards to establish a basis for cost and capacity analysis
  1. Determine capital equipment needs, write specification statements for equipment, and supervise installation and qualification of equipment to ensure equipment functions to meet specifications, and is delivered on time within cost requirements
  1. Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost through Kaizen and other teams to maintain profitability and competitiveness
  1. Other duties as assigned
