Position Summary:
The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care on
an assigned unit. This role supervises licensed nurses and direct care staff, ensures
compliance with regulatory requirements, and promotes resident-centered care consistent
with facility philosophy and standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance on assigned unit.
• Ensure care plans are implemented and updated based on resident needs.
• Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Respond to resident/family concerns and ensure dignity and resident rights are respected.
• Support survey readiness and quality assurance activities.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and participate in care planning meetings.

Skills & Competencies
• Strong clinical assessment and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of CMS/state regulations and SNF standards.
• Effective communication and documentation abilities.
• Organizational and time management skills.

Required:
• Graduate of accredited nursing program with current RN or LPN license in Michigan.
• 2+ years of long-term care or skilled nursing experience.
Preferred:
• Prior leadership experience as Charge Nurse or Supervisor.
