Position Overview
This full-time dayshift Registered Nurse role offers the opportunity to provide high-level clinical care across multiple acute care settings within a regional healthcare footprint. The position is designed for experienced nurses who thrive in dynamic environments, adapt quickly to new teams, and maintain strong clinical judgment while rotating between hospitals based on operational needs.
Assignments may include a mix of progressive care, critical care, emergency, or high-acuity medical-surgical environments depending on staffing needs and competency alignment.
Practice Locations
Assignments will rotate between healthcare facilities in the following Pennsylvania communities:
Allentown
Bethlehem
Easton
Macungie
Pottsville
Hazleton
Lehighton
Gilbertsville
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes
Respond to changing patient conditions using sound clinical judgment and evidence-based practice
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and resolve patient needs
Maintain a safe clinical environment while adhering to established policies and quality standards
Educate patients and families to support understanding, engagement, and continuity of care
Utilize clinical technology and electronic documentation systems effectively
Serve as a resource to unit staff and assist with mentoring, delegation, and care coordination as needed
Adapt efficiently to varying unit workflows, patient populations, and acuity levels
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
Minimum of 2 years of relevant RN experience in acute or critical care settings
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Stroke certification
Completion of a dysrhythmia course
Completion of a recognized critical care course (e.g., ECCO) or current CCRN certification
Trauma education or TNCC certification
Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain competency across multiple clinical environments
