ACCOUNTABILTY OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for operating, troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance of automated equipment to maximize assembly efficiency and yields.

 

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

This is an entry level position; however, testing will be conducted to determine conformance to required aptitude level. Prior manufacturing experience and a high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required combined with a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.  Associate must be experienced and trained with Hilite’s environmental aspects and impacts for the jobs they perform.  

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Operate, troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance to automated production equipment.
  1. Insure proper material inventory levels and flow through assembly area.
  1. Communicate with team members on all shifts regarding equipment up-time, yield, etc.
  1. Maintain quality and maintenance documentation as required.
  1. Count and move all scrap parts.
  1. Perform assembly system startups and shutdowns per written procedures on a daily basis.
  1. Perform minor repair and maintenance to assembly equipment per maintenance and operating manuals, or as necessary.
  1. Operate, troubleshoot, and make adjustments to assembly equipment as the need arises.
  2. Maintain proper inventory levels at the assembly stations.
  1. Maintain control charts per written instructions on a daily basis.
  1. Perform test stand calibrations per operating procedures; perform and record adjustments on control charts.
  1. Perform necessary inspection using basic gaging equipment according to quality control instructions.
  1. Monitor performance of the assembly line operations using statistical process control methods, identifying and eliminating factors causing non-conformance in the operation.
  1. Perform final inspection and package product for shipment per written procedures.

     15. Perform secondary machining operations according to written procedures.

  1. Maintain clean work area and perform general plant cleanup as required.
  1. Perform other related responsibilities as may be assigned or required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

General Production environment.  Requires standing the majority of the time. Requires fine finger manipulation and handling. The greatest hazard is noise pollution, everyone is required to wear hearing protection and safety glasses upon entering the floor. The chance of coming in contact with oils or other fluids is probable as they are used plant wide.
