Bomber Operational Lead

Job Summary:

The Operational Bomber Lead will provide operational support to bed-down activities to Major Command and Installation-level organizations in support of the B-21 bomber. They are responsible for support integration of all aspects of the B-21 Raider between host base and HQ AFGSC, including but not limited to: Formal Training Unit operations, Operations Squadron, Operations Support Squadron functions, Simulator operations development and coordination.

Essential Duties: 

• Serve as operations consultant and technical expert to senior subject matter specialists and/or agency officials responsible for broad program operations. 
• Support integration of Technical Order and Department of the Air Force Instructions compliance between host wing, HQ AFGSC, and other outside agencies, as required. 
• Coordinate, implement, advise, and support Conventional and Nuclear operations and training requirements, systems, and timelines in accordance with Higher Headquarters requirements. 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of USAF B-1B or B-2A or B-52H qualified bomber aircrew experience. 
• Minimum Graduate of Formal Instructor Course, Central Flight Instructor Course, or equivalent USAF Flight Instructor Course in any USAF MWS. 
• Highly Desired Nuclear Bomber Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) experience. 
• Highly desired United States Air Force (USAF) Safety and/or Nuclear Surety experience.
• USAF aircraft maintenance (any) experience highly desired. 
• USAF Personnel Reliability Program/Personnel Reliability Assurance Program (PRP/PRAP) Manager experience highly desired.
• Component Command (or equivalent) or higher-level experience highly desired.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

• Be current with computers and computer software such as information management software, computer aided design and drafting programs, and project tracking/management software to solve engineering problems and facilitate work.
