**This is an in-person, onsite position**
At Langham Logistics, we deliver world-class supply chain solutions powered by precision technology, high compliance, and operational excellence. Specializing in life sciences, cold-chain distribution, and regulated warehousing, we rely on advanced system logic to ensure critical products move seamlessly and accurately through our facilities.
We are seeking a proactive, tech-savvy WMS Systems Specialist to serve as the operational and technical anchor for our warehouse management ecosystem. If you understand warehouse floor workflows and have a passion for solving complex system issues in Manhattan SCALE, this role offers a great opportunity to make an immediate impact on our growing operations.
Role Summary
The WMS Systems Specialist acts as the primary on-site subject matter expert (SME) and Tier 1 support for the Manhattan Associates SCALE platform and adjacent supply chain technologies. In this role, you will bridge the gap between physical operations and system logic—troubleshooting real-time transactional errors, optimizing system configurations (slotting, allocation, wave planning), leading user acceptance testing (UAT), and partnering with floor leadership to ensure maximum uptime and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Daily Tier 1 Support
Issue Resolution: Act as the primary on-site technical contact for Manhattan SCALE, diagnosing and resolving issues related to stuck orders, wave allocation failures, and real-time inventory discrepancies.
Interface & Integration Monitoring: Monitor data flows and resolve transaction errors between Manhattan SCALE and third-party systems/ERPs.
Hardware Support: Configure, troubleshoot, and support warehouse hardware, including RF scanners, vehicle-mounted terminals, and industrial thermal label printers.
Configuration & Process Optimization
Logic & Rule Maintenance: Update local WMS configurations, including locating rules, allocation strategies (FIFO/FEFO), item units of measure (UOM), and user role permissions.
Operational Flow Optimization: Analyze system metrics and throughput data to identify bottlenecks across inbound receiving, putaway, picking, and shipping.
Continuous Improvement: Draft clear business requirement documents (BRDs) for system enhancements and workflow automations.
Testing, Training & User Enablement
UAT & Release Management: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for patches, software upgrades, and custom configurations to ensure zero disruption to live operations.
Floor Coaching & Training: Observe system usage on the floor, identify training gaps, and reinforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices with frontline operators and leads.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Education
WMS Experience: 1–3+ years of direct, hands-on experience working with warehouse management systems (Manhattan Associates SCALE preferred; equivalent advanced WMS super-user experience will be considered).
Industry Background: Experience in 3PL distribution or regulated environments (Life Sciences, Pharma, Medical Device, Cold Chain) is a strong plus.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related technical discipline preferred.
Certifications: Manhattan Associates training certification or recognition as a WMS Super-User is an asset.
Technical & Functional Skills
Core Logistics Knowledge: Strong grasp of distribution workflows, including wave planning, cross-docking, cycle counting, and multi-channel fulfillment.
Troubleshooting Mindset: Solid analytical and problem-solving skills for data validation, error tracking, and custom reporting.
Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for warehouse associates and operational management.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Hybrid Floor/Desk Setting: Comfortable splitting time between an office workstation and actively walking the concrete warehouse floor to support operations.
Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to support occasional system go-lives, scheduled maintenance windows, or critical peak season operational needs.
